As models start to eclipse humans at scientific reasoning and testing, we stand at the golden hour of intellectual discovery. Before the long twilight where theorems are named after machines not men, a rare and rebellious group of humanistic polymaths can solve impossible problems at the root of our culture and civilisation.

At Phaistos Labs, we believe that these problems include deciphering the lost languages of foundational cultures like Minoan Linear A, codebreaking unreadable texts like the Voynich Manuscript that unlock secret knowledge from our ancestors, and using new technologies to restore the resplendence and fame of Antiquity.

We see a world where generalised humanists succeed purely specialised technologists as the foremost frontier researchers, as model development turns to cross-domain intuition and analogous reasoning with lower level coding and math optimisations automated away. Furthermore, we believe this to be a necessary future, to ensure that those charged with building the most transformative yet dangerous technology of human history are irrationally and unyieldingly passionate about human survival, human flourishing, and human ascendance.
